While it's true that personal responsibility plays a role in sexual activity, it's important to remember that not all pregnancies are the result of a conscious choice. There are cases of contraceptive failure, lack of sex education, or even sexual assault. Moreover, access to abortion services can be a question of socioeconomic equity as well - not everyone has the resources to raise a child or access to safe, reliable contraception.
