In states that have not adopted a minimum wage higher than the federal minimum wage, regardless of cost of living, those workers are underpaid to the point of worse that wage slavery thereby putting a burden on the taxpayer to pay for services that all people should be able to afford with a living wage. $7.25 is not a living wage anywhere in America in 2023.
