I guess I assume that they are visiting or immigrated. I think its cool that they are still holding on to their culture and makes me want to speak more of my second language.

I don’t assume they are visiting or immigrated, many people that speak languages other than/in addition to English are native born American citizens.
Speaking multiple languages has many benefits for neurological health and can provide a wider perspective of understanding.
