How might your approach to saving and spending change if you knew it influenced the economy on a larger scale?

The government should make its spending public to the people. The people have a right to know what their money is being used for. Its because we don't have access to the spending, we find out that they are spending billions on things that don't affect us or help/ improve the taxpayer's lives or environment.
