How do you grapple with the concept of 'reverse discrimination' that some associate with affirmative action?

I find that Affirmative Action as it currently stands is fundamentally flawed, It attempts to bring certain groups forward but fails as the action will instead continue economic inequality. The best way to resolve this issue is to affirm for economic status rather than racial status
