Why do you think some people struggle to understand the concept of 'white privilege' and how would you explain it?

Some people are unable to understand the concept of white privilege because they lack empathy and are unable to put themselves in another's place. It's easier to explain it by comparing their current and existing struggles and fears, to the past and current struggles and fears of a non-white person.

It's not that people who don't understand white privilege can't put themselves in another person's shoes but rather they cannot understand why or how someone can feel inherently less valued from a society that values white features more.
It is easy to put yourself someone else's shoes in one instance but not their entire life.
