Patients should be allowed to pursue their own options with the doctors of their choosing, with informed consent that information may contradict established science. People should be allowed to make unusual choices if they have a reason to believe it'll help them and it doesn't harm others.
The problem becomes vaccine policy because those choices do affect other people.
