In fact, traditional values shouldn't stay. The world evolves and so should the people if they want to survive. Stay in ways of the old generations and you wont make it even for a day.

Traditions can be a source of comfort to some, like celebrating Christmas if your family did. to completely discount all traditions in a nation is to disregard family legacies and religious practices
Preserving traditional values doesn't allow for America's evolvement. If we still preserved these traditional values, we wouldn't be the great America we know of today, considering that it allows us to have more economic growth culturally, and mentally.
