Only about 1.03%-1.6% of US adults identify as transgender (https://usafacts.org/articles/what-percentage-of-the-us-population-is-transgender/ and https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2022/06/07/about-5-of-young-adults-in-the-u-s-say-their-gender-is-different-from-their-sex-assigned-at-birth/). So, you have at most 2% of the US population that is trans, and approx. half of them will be transgender men (female to male). Transgender men, if anything, would have a disadvantage against cisgender men since they have not had testosterone for as long. The remaining ~1% of the population that transphobes care so much about are transgender women (male to female). Of that ~1%, you have to consider how many will not want to play sports, which will probably be most of it. You have an incredibly small group of transgender female athletes that would most likely not have an advantage over cisgender females (https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8944319/) that are being subjugated to discriminatory laws that only serve to negatively effect their mental and physical health (https://www.hrc.org/resources/get-the-facts-about-transgender-non-binary-athletes).
