I do not believe that a community can tackle social issues more effectively than a government. I do think communities can start great things that can transfer across an area. But I believe that a government can control our response to social issues more than a community can.

comunities involve all ages, races, sexualities, and genders so they can better come to a conclusion on issues than a group of old men.

The only reason Social issues are created, are through the social party and there own issues.

People in communities generally know a lot more about how things are informally organized and can best lead to effective dialogue with people within that very community because of trust than can outside forces with no prior knowledge of people's personalities and pre existing conditions.

yes beacuse the goverment takes forver to get most things done but as a community knows where the problems are at and can resolve them

I think we could, for example, volunteering in a community for the homeless tackles a social issue.
