National pride is a spectrum of citizens acceptance of their country. I believe that a society with no pride in their nation has little reason to give their best effort in solving national issues.

National Pride, is overarching and covers both Nationalism and Patriotism. But it is important that we pursue a path of Patriotism rather than Nationalism.

National pride is important to receive support and cooperation from citizens, but it should be earned, not forced. I do think pride in your nation is relatively important for a successful society, if you are against the system you're living in that system won't last long.
