How would the presence of a single state-approved religion affect your community's current dynamics?

 @9JR6VKS from New York answered…3mos3MO

If one person believed in another religion then the individual would be judge and wouldn't be treated well

 @9JR6VFN from Maryland answered…3mos3MO

If only one religion was allowed to be active. That would be a crime. I believe only a few should exist.

 @9JR6QGK from Connecticut answered…3mos3MO

Yes, because I believe in a religion that is a minority in this nation, so it would be a problem for me.

To what extent do you believe a government should go to protect citizens from external cultural influences?

 @9JRHW99 from Virginia answered…3mos3MO

only to stop people from being physically attacked

 @9JRPLVPDemocrat from California disagreed…3mos3MO

We were given the bill of rights to try and combat the hatred being thrown at people in our day and age. Discrimination is brought up as something that people want to stray away from so not only do words hurt, I'm assuming physical stuff too. Teach young minds not to hurt people mentally or physically.

 @9JRJFCQDemocrat from Alabama answered…3mos3MO

I don’t believe the government should protect citizens of any external cultural influences. Countries change over time and it’s important to let that change happen.

 @9JRMHD6 from Alabama agreed…3mos3MO

It's illogical to try to protect one country's citizens from cultures that exist elsewhere. Travel, journalism, and cultural exposure are extremely important ways we connect with others. Learning about other cultures is essential to understanding humanity and its challenges and potential. Being culturally insular leads to backwardness, fear, and hate.

 @9JSHSXY from Missouri answered…3mos3MO

I think the government should advise people that something is graphic but give the people a chance to choose for themselves.

 @9JRF2N7  from Kansas answered…3mos3MO

I don't think the government should protect citizens from outside sources.

How would you define 'national pride,' and do you believe it's essential for society?

 @9JQVXVM from North Carolina answered…3mos3MO

National pride is a spectrum of citizens acceptance of their country. I believe that a society with no pride in their nation has little reason to give their best effort in solving national issues.

 @9FV7NK5  from Michigan answered…3mos3MO

National Pride, is overarching and covers both Nationalism and Patriotism. But it is important that we pursue a path of Patriotism rather than Nationalism.

 @9JQVVD8 from Michigan answered…3mos3MO

National pride is important to receive support and cooperation from citizens, but it should be earned, not forced. I do think pride in your nation is relatively important for a successful society, if you are against the system you're living in that system won't last long.

How important do you feel it is for a country's leader to embody the nation's cultural and moral values?

 @9HZ5F4X from Illinois answered…4mos4MO

Leaders must embody cultural and moral values of their citizens in order to appeal to them. If leaders do not appeal to the interests of their citizens, then the community will not feel united. The citizens will not feel properly represented.

 @9HZ5HY5 from Illinois answered…4mos4MO

I think as the leader of a country it is important to gain knowledge about those around you. It helps bring more perspective when making decisions or even dealing with a situation.
