The school may be different beacuse we may spend money on things we deem as more important

The answer is too vague and doesn't address the actual education policy or the impact that community votes would have on it.

If the community, the ones who are using the school and getting an education, were the ones voting for what needed to be funded, then it would benefit them and it will, objectively, be different.
